From a small resolution to a movement of 20,000+ women
We Can Group is a Rajkot-based women empowerment initiative, started with a simple promise – every sister and daughter should have the skills, confidence and income to stand on her own feet.
Under a unique self-reliance mission, more than 20,000 women and girls have been trained over the last 15 years. Many of them are now:
- Running their own beauty parlours, boutiques and home-based businesses,
- Creating jobs for other sisters in their locality,
- Supporting their children’s education and family needs through their income,
- Taking confident decisions about health, finance and career.
Every activity is designed according to today’s realities – from cyber safety to modern digital skills, from health and naturopathy to self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Founder & Visionary Dr. Pinaben Kotak
A Ph.D. in Hindi Journalism, Dr. Pinaben Kotak took up this cause of women’s self-reliance 15 years ago. What began as a small group has now become a strong, city-wide network of empowered women.
- Belief: Every sister can become self-reliant with the right guidance.
- Focus: Skills + health + confidence, not just short-term courses.
- Mission: “From homemaker to decision-maker” for every participant.

400 sisters trained together in beauty parlour and nail art – in one powerful day
On Women’s Day 2024, We Can Group created a record by conducting a mega “Master Training” where 400 sisters and daughters received free, intensive skill training – and many of them started earning immediately afterwards.
- Free and intensive training in beauty parlour work and nail art designed for quick earning.
- All participants trained together in a structured, step-by-step format with live demonstrations.
- Sisters were encouraged to start immediately – offering services from home or small rented spaces.
- The program proved that in just one day, a woman can gain skills that open the door to income.
This Women’s Day achievement reflects the core philosophy of We Can Group – rapid, practical and result-oriented empowerment, not just symbolic celebration.
